It’s Safe + Sound Week!

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) launched their Safe + Sound initiative to encourage every workplace to have a safety and health program all year, but Safe + Sound Week, August 11-17, is the week to recognize successful programs and share information on how to keep America’s workers safe.

Have a health and safety program already in place? Don’t be afraid to let the world know about your successes.

  • Challenge your colleagues, suppliers, fellow brothers and sisters and partner organizations on topics ranging from fixing hazards to crisis communication. Find challenges for workers and leadership here.
  • Showcase your accomplishments on social media, using the #SafeAndSoundAtWork hashtag and engage with others who do the same.
  • Find resources to help further develop your health and safety program — make it better every year!

Look for preventative measures for hand-arm vibration syndrome on p. 343-44.
