Q: How long is the training?

A: The SMART MAP training is for three days from 8 am to 4 pm, Tuesday-Thursday.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The SMART MAP sessions are put on at no cost to you. We cover the cost of the speakers and reimburse the local for the food.

Q: Does SMOHIT pay per diem to attendees of SMART MAP?

A: Yes, but only for members who will miss work to attend the training. The per diem is $590 for the three-day session. Union Officials and JATC staff who receive their normal salaries are not eligible.

Q: Does SMOHIT pay for transportation?

A: No

Q: What food is included?

A: The local will provide breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
